Mirades Security Welcomes New Security Expert, Stephane Veilleux, CPP

Montreal, 5 September 2024 — Mirades is pleased to announce the addition of Stephane Veilleux as our new Security Expert. Bringing over four decades of experience in the security field, Stéphane has built an impressive career since beginning in 1983 and transitioning to management roles in 1988.

Stephane's extensive career has spanned various roles and industries, including basic physical security, investigations, security program management, team leadership, emergency response coordination, and project management. His broad expertise is further complemented by his service in the Canadian Armed Forces, participation in United Nations peacekeeping missions, and involvement with a special operations unit.

​Over the years, Stéphane has worked across a diverse range of environments, including high- rise buildings, diplomatic missions, airports, hospitals, industrial sites, and various commercial sectors. He has held positions from security officer and line supervisor to corporate security chief, educator, and consultant. His leadership roles within ASIS International—where he has served since 2001—include Chapter President and Regional Vice President for Canada, as well as contributions to international standards and guidelines through various working groups. He earned his Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation in May 1998, a testament to his commitment to the highest standards of security.

 

More recently, Stéphane worked as Security Project Manager at the House of Commons of Canada within the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security, where he enhanced the security framework of Canada's most important institution. After several years of collaboration, Lili-Ann Mitchell and Eugenia Tsatsos join Mivil Deschênes at the head of Mirades Security to support its development.

Mirades Security offers security consulting services to private companies as well as to governmental and para-governmental organizations. The Mirades approach is focused on assessing and mitigating security risks and threats, thereby providing its clients with practical and strategic solutions that prepare for any eventuality.

 

Mivil Deschênes, LCol (Ret’d), CD Following a long career in the Canadian Armed Forces, Mr. Deschênes chose to apply and broaden his skills in the corporate world. He founded Mirades Security in 2016 and will continue acting as a strategic executive and expert advisor, head of security and financial director.        

 

Lili-Ann Mitchell, MSc Crim, CPP, CISM As an expert in corporate and information security, Lili-Ann Mitchell has held operational and strategic security management positions with some of the most renowned multinational companies. Motivated by the desire to share the knowledge acquired along her journey, she currently teaches undergraduate students in security and police studies at the University of Montreal. As a partner of Mirades Security, Ms. Mitchell is responsible for managing operations, teams and processes while providing her expertise in corporate and information security.

 

Eugenia Tsatsos, PSP, C. Tr. Certified in physical security and specialist in emergency management, Ms. Tsatsos is a seasoned professional in the design and execution of security programs. Now a Mirades Security partner, her functions include risk analysis, audits, execution of mandates, as well as communications and documentation management.

 

Jacques Sénéchal will continue his role as security and emergency measures advisor to support Mirades’s clients as they scale.
